The fortress is the last bastion of the battered country, and the defenders will stop at nothing to protect it.

Book 3: The Devil’s Computer

Senator Malekarm, Splinter’s father, stumbles across a plot by his political rivals to create a computer with a simulacrum of Great Satan’s soul in an effort to seize control of Demon Land’s future. What’s even worse, his illegitimate daughter, Madiah, better known as Maddie, is somehow mixed up in it, which means only one thing: time to call the hitman! Can Malekarm get a handle on the pulse of the empire before everything blows up in his face? And can he keep Splinter out of his affairs long enough for his own sinister plots to come to fruition?
