Though most of my early writing was poetry, I always yearned to create a fantasy saga that could stand alongside the likes of Michael Moorcock’s Elric saga or Lloyd Alexander’s wonderful Prydain Chronicles. “The Struggle”, the first book in my Demon Land series, was originally conceived as a comic book about a time-traveling superhero who comes from a future where the demons have won, and strives to correct the sins of the past. While the final version of the narrative changed, there’s an echo of the original concept that remains. I live in Philadelphia where I continue to write, fortune-tell, and take my lizards out for walks. I’m planning to expand the world of Demon Land with free short stories and several more novels, as well as a podcast called Demon Toast, so subscribe to my mailing list or just connect with me on Instagram or Twitter. There’s no end to the struggles my demonic protagonists and villains will face, and so long as our reality becomes more and more of a parody of itself, I’ll never run out of things to satirize.
